Frustrating Spammers for fun and profit
So, I got pounded today with Viagra comments. I think I got about 10 of them. I am fairly vigilant about cleaning that stuff out.
So I figured it was a good chance to hack on MT a bit to see what could be done to prevent the comment spam problem.
First I renamed the comments file so that the robots would actually have to look at my page to figure out how to post a comment. I hear that works pretty well, but not perfectly.
Second, I downloaded and installed my first MT plugin, the mt-blacklist. It was quick and easy install. We will see how effective it is! It looks like it should do a pretty good job of blocking both trackback spam and comment spam. Anything we can do to frustrate spammer.
Reading history was always a great joy for me
especially when reading about all those great powers that used to take survielince over
vast areas of land and a wide capacity of people then after ,they just disappeared like theyhave ever existed. Therefore i perosnally beleive that it is not important how strong you are at the moment or how long you can last strong because you will be defeated and destroyed sooner or latter but the most important thing is what kinds of values or principles you gave to the world so the world will remeber you for ,and starting from this point i can emphasize that when America will be defeated no one in this world will be able to give a word about principles that Amercians gave to the world because in basically there is none.
Well Gango, This comment has zero to do with Spammers. You posted yesterday. I understand your hatred for America. You are welcome to discuss that on your own blog, but I don't need to pay for your ideas to be spread from mine.. Especially when you are off topic.
