Singing from a strange book.

| | Comments ()

Julia went with me to BSF for the first time today.

She thought it was kinda odd that they gave her a book to sing out of with notes and stuff in it.

I now have an accountability partner. She doesn't read well enough to do all of the lessons, so I will likely be reading to her.. This week's assignment is to skim the book of Matthew. I don't know how to skim aloud, so we will be reading a lot. Luckily I have been practicing a lot with her brother. He loves to listen. Julia hasn't been quite so enthusiastic, but perhaps having questions to listen for the answers to will help.

I am pretty excited about my group this year. I have tended to be placed in the young guy groups over the last several years, but this year there are quite a few guys who have been married a lot longer than me, have kids older than mine etc.

I am looking for a Rock climbing harness for my kids. They are very excited about climbing. I took them the other day, and they became addicted to climbing chimneys. I used to climb some before I got fat. I have most of the equipment I need to belay them, but I don't have a harness small enough for them. They get up to my head level, and want to keep going, but I have to make them stop.
